Our Brand Story


Inspired by the ability to embrace life’s challenges with passion and determination, Unique Spirit is a collection of natural hair and skin care products.

This journey started in 2010 when I was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer. While I weathered the storm, I built a collection of products to nurture myself and my family, formulated with organic, raw, and fair-trade ingredients and focused on the synergy and power of nature.

As of 2019, I am in remission and able to share Unique Spirit aka ‘US,’ a Black women-owned business, created to care for ‘US’ all, body, mind, and spirit. Our hope is to spread the message of healing through small gestures, such as caring for one’s skin, which can make all the difference in tough moments. We strive to help our customers and their families along their daily wellness journeys, one ingredient at a time.

After me and my partner tried several products which were all good. I wanted to write a review on our top favorites. Illusion Beard Oil when they say a little goes a long way this product stands its test. The Sage Bodywash really cleans well without drying out your skin. The texture, to the lather, to the smell has us wanting to use nothing else. The YaHemp lotion is very moisturizing, not sticky and very comfortable. The smell is unexplainable, we feel in love instantly therefore we use it daily!
